We have provided the mounting stakes required for in-ground installation. You may, however, follow one of the options below to better suit your need:
If mounting pergola onto an existing concrete patio (Note: not intended be installed on top of patio stones or pavers):
- Sleeve Anchors (12) – ½” x 4” (1.3 cm x 10 cm)
If mounting pergola onto a wood or composite deck:
- Lag Bolts (12) – ½” - 5/8” (1.3 cm – 1.6 cm), length depends on thickness of decking
If mounting pergola onto a deck with an accessible underside:
- Bolts with Washers and Locking Nut (12) – ½” (1.3 cm), length depends on thickness of decking

How long does it take for an item to arrive after it’s been shipped?
Product purchases in North America from our website ship within 1-2 days from our warehouse in Columbus, Ohio, using trusted ground courier operators. No signatures are required for delivery.
All prices include shipping within the Continental United States and Canada (Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico is NOT included.)
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to a PO box.
What shipping carriers do you use?
Our products are shipped with either FedEx Ground or UPS. Some vendors may arrange for an LTL freight company to deliver your order. In most cases, products are delivered with FedEx or UPS.
Do you ship overseas?
For shipping outside the Continental United States and Canada we recommend contacting a freight forwarding company (i.e Shipito) to facilitate your order. We do not ship direct, internationally. Our customer service team is available at hello@wearevita.com to answer any questions.
How many boxes will my product arrive in?
The amount of boxes varies according to product. Please check ‘specifications’ on your products page for exact information.
Classic Vinyl products come with a 20-year limited warranty against material defects. Warranty is only valid on items purchased through Vita or authorized Vita retailers. Vita cannot guarantee products purchased secondhand or through a re-seller. Proof of purchase may be required.

There has to be an easier way
I needed a pretty shade structure in my newly landscaped backyard. This pergola is solid and I'm looking forward to seeing it covered in wisteria. But does it have to be so complicated to put together? My sister and I had all the required tools, know how to use them, and can read instructions. None of the parts was too heavy to lift. But it still took us two and a half days to complete the installation. There has to be a way to redesign some parts, or to ship some pre-assembled, so there are only about 1,000 pieces instead of what feels like 10,000, plus a few million screws. Some instructions -- e.g., "put eight Brackets A together with Braces B (taking lots of time because Brace B doesn't easily slide into Bracket A so you have to wrestle with it awhile), mark where to install, take them apart again, install Bracket A, and try to force parts A and B together again while six feet off the ground" -- made us wonder if the person who wrote the instructions had actually tried to assemble this themselves. Several pieces needed but didn't have pre-drilled holes. Often the instructions required trying to drill through metal supports (which in some cases couldn't be done so we had to wail on the screws with a hammer). Overall I'm happy with the product but unless you have industrial-quality tools over and above those that are recommended, or put things together for a living, hire somebody to install it for you. Other than that, nice product and worth the money.
Great pergola
I love my new pergola. I was able to assemble the trellis posts and top beams all myself and I am a 64 y/o female. I just had to get help to put it all together with drill in the yard. I have placed orchids mounted on beautiful pottery on the trellis. I had no missing or damaged parts however some did not fit together without shaving off a little plastic. Most everything went together easily. It looks great and is exactly what I wanted to show my orchids.
Missing parts
Received product a month ago. Missing parts and have still not received proper parts. Been in contact with the company and sent a specific list of the products required to build the pergola ( as per their instructions) yet they keep sending wrong parts. Very frustrating. Regretting this purchase. Purchased online through Lowes.
